Unemployment: day 66
I created a presentation for the JOCV training. In the training, I might have presentations about my assignment around four times in English. So I preferred the presentations.
The theme is teaching class role play as PC instructor. So I created these documents.
- PC Basics: How to use PC
- Microsoft Excel Basics
- Microsoft PowerPoint Basics
- How a Computer Boots and Repairing a Computer
Correct version
I created a presentation for the JOCV training. During the training, I might have to give around four presentations in English about my assignment, so I prepared them in advance. The theme was a classroom role play on teaching as a PC instructor, so I produced the following materials:
IELTS Improvement Points
Collocation:
“give a presentation”
→ More natural than “have a presentation”. Standard collocation for IELTS speaking and writing.
“prepare in advance”
→ Widely used collocation showing foresight and planning. Stronger than just “preferred the presentations”.
Template:
“During [event], I might have to give [number] of presentations about [topic].”
→ Clear template for explaining frequency and purpose of an activity.
“The theme was [X], so I produced the following materials: [list].”
→ Good structure for sequencing: theme → reason → output. Useful for IELTS Task 1 reports or Task 2 explanations.
Vocabulary:
“assignment”
→ Correct academic term for a task, suitable for IELTS writing.
“in advance”
→ Polished time phrase, avoids repetition of “beforehand” or awkward phrasing.
“materials”
→ Natural academic word for teaching documents, better than “documents” in this context.
