Nshima, Beef Stew, and a New Travel Plan

Day 84 – Life in Africa

It was the last day of the end of term exam, today. The exam was finished by noon. So I knocked off noon. Then I went to a stall where I had wanted to visit before in the same area of my home, because it only opens on week days. I heard that the meal was little expensive but there were variety of sides. Actually, there were beef, chicken, and fish for mains, and more three to four sides. Then I had Nshima and beef stew, eggs, and okura. The taste was pretty good.

By the way, the second phot is Mt. Mulanje in Northern Malawi. It is the second highest mountain in Africa, and it was registered the world heritage of cultural landscape in July 2025. A graduate student whose home town is near the mountain send it to me. I send “I want to visit the mountain someday.” So he replied “I will guide you then.” Then I thought that it might a good plan for next trip on August to round these three world heritages in Malawi. Well then, the other two world heritage in Malawi will be introduced someday.

  • The meal: MK10,000
