Diary
The iPad mini I purchased recently has arrived at my home. I set it up to locate my AirTags. The setup process was a bit tricky, so I’ll describe it below.
- Create an Apple ID if you don’t already have one.
- Sign in with your Apple ID on the new Apple device, such as the iPad. I’ll refer to this device as Device A.
- Open the Settings app on the other device you’ve already been using with AirTags. I’ll refer to this as Device B.
- Tap your Apple account name and go to the Family Sharing section.
- Tap the Add Member button to add Device A to your family group.
- Select the Apple ID used on Device A. At this point, make sure the account is already in your Contacts list. Then, Device A’s account will be added to the Family group under Device B’s account.
- Open the Find My app on Device B.
- Choose an AirTag from your list of items, then tap Share This AirTag.
- Select the account linked to Device A and send the invitation.
- Finally, open the Messages app on Device A and accept the invitation to share the AirTag.
I successfully shared all five of my AirTags with the new iPad. Now, my wife is able to view them and keep track of our children’s whereabouts on the iPad.
By the way, the new iPad mini—although second-hand—looked as good as new. I’m very pleased with it.

Original statments
The iPad mini I bought later has come my home. I set it up to find my Airtags. That was little bit difficult to set up. So I describe the process below.
- Make Apple ID, if you don’t have it.
- Set your Apple ID on a new Apple device such as iPad. I describe this device is A.
- Open setting app on the other device, I have had already to use Airtags, I describe this device is B.
- Touch your Apple account name, and go on Family setting.
- Touch add button to add device B to your family member.
- Select the account of device B. In this timing, you must have resisted the account B in your contact list. Then account B is resisted in the Family member of account A.
- Open Find My app on the device A.
- Select a Airtag from your Items. And touch Share Airtag.
- Select the account B to send address. And send it.
- Finally open message on the device B. And accept the message to add the Airtag.
Finally open message on the device B. And accept the message to add the Airtag.
I could finish to share my five Airtags to the new iPad. So My wife is able to see our Airtags to check our children’s whereabouts.
By the way, the new ipad mini was enough well looking, although it was a second hand. I was really satisfied it.
Explanation of Corrections
“has come my home” → “has arrived at my home”
“Come” is unnatural in this context; “arrived at” is the correct phrasal verb for arriving at a location.
“find my Airtags” → “locate my AirTags”
“Locate” is more precise and formal. Also, capitalisation of “AirTags” corrected.
“That was little bit difficult” → “The setup process was a bit tricky”
Improved grammar and word choice; “a bit tricky” is more idiomatic in British English.
“Make Apple ID” → “Create an Apple ID”
“Create” is the appropriate verb for making an account; “make” is too vague.
“Set your Apple ID” → “Sign in with your Apple ID”
“Set” is unclear; “Sign in with” is the correct term for logging into a device.
“I describe this device is A” → “I’ll refer to this device as A”
Fixed grammatical structure; more natural phrasing for explanation.
“setting app” → “Settings app”
Corrected the spelling and capitalisation; “Settings” is the proper name of the app.
“I have had already to use Airtags” → “you’ve already been using with AirTags”
Rephrased for correct grammar and clarity; corrected verb tense and structure.
“go on Family setting” → “go to the Family Sharing section”
“Family Sharing” is the official Apple term; “go on” changed to “go to” for accuracy.
“add device B to your family member” → “add Device B to your family group”
Clarified the meaning and fixed grammatical structure; “family group” is more accurate.
“you must have resisted the account” → “make sure the account is already in your Contacts list”
“Resisted” is likely a mistranslation of “registered” or “saved”; rephrased for clarity.
“Select a Airtag” → “Choose an AirTag”
Article corrected (“a” → “an”) and verb improved to “choose” for natural usage.
“to send address” → “and send the invitation”
Likely intended to mean sending an invitation; “address” was incorrect in this context.
“finish to share” → “successfully shared”
“Finish to do” is grammatically incorrect; “successfully shared” is proper and fluent.
“enough well looking” → “looked as good as new”
Replaced with an idiomatic and grammatically correct phrase.
“I was really satisfied it” → “I’m very pleased with it”
Fixed grammar and used a common British English expression for satisfaction.
