Diary
I bought advance tickets for Minecraft: The Movie at a nearby cinema. A few days ago, the children’s tickets were sold out online, but adult tickets were still available. So, I went to the cinema in person to buy them. I realised that sometimes things unavailable online can still be found in a physical shop.
My daughter, son and I are really looking forward to seeing the film, as we often play Minecraft together.

My original sentence
I bought presale movie tickets for “Minecraft the movie” at nearby theater. A few days ago they were sold out online for children, adult tickets were still available. Therefore I visited the theater to buy them. I learned that things not to exist online may be at the real store.
We, my daughter, son and me, are really looking forward to seeing the movie because we usually play the Minecraft.
Corrections and Explanations
1.“presale movie tickets” → “advance tickets”
While “presale” can be used in some contexts, “advance tickets” is more natural and commonly used when referring to movie tickets.
2.“at nearby theater” → “at a nearby cinema”
In British English, “theatre” usually refers to live performances, while “cinema” refers to a movie theatre. The article “a” is necessary (“a nearby cinema” means one of the nearby cinemas).
3.“A few days ago they were sold out online for children” → “A few days ago, the children’s tickets were sold out online”
“they” is ambiguous, so it’s better to specify with “the children’s tickets”.
The sentence structure is also adjusted for a more natural flow.
4.“adult tickets were still available” → (left as-is)
This sentence is natural and doesn’t require changes.
5.“Therefore I visited the theater to buy them” → “So, I went to the cinema in person to buy them”
“Therefore” sounds a bit formal, so “so” is more conversational.
“visited” is acceptable, but “went to” is more commonly used in everyday English.
